BIO


LA-born Belizean-American recording artist whose sound merges soulful vocal work, experimental R&B, Afro-diasporic rhythm, and forward-thinking production. He emerged during the SoundCloud era producing and writing for artists like Willow Smith, Tyler Cole, Raury, and Daylyt, eventually touring internationally and performing across the U.S.

Most recently, Tru served as lead engineer and featured writer/vocalist on Saba & No I.D.’s album From the Private Collection of Saba & No I.D.—notably contributing to tracks like “Crash” (feat. Kelly Rowland & Raphael Saadiq) and “She Called It.” His music has been featured by DreamWorks, FOX, Showtime, and more.

With new music and a second studio album arriving in 2026, Tru continues to perform, DJ, and create genre-defying work rooted in storytelling, identity, and sonic experimentation.
